As part of our Value Nutrition Business Area, the Pasta & Extrusion processes are crucial for our market share in various sectors such as Cereals, Snacks, Petfood, Dry Pasta, Gluten-Free Pasta, Alternative Proteins, Meat Analogues, and Ingredients. Join our team and shape the future with us!


Job Responsibilities


Lead and guide the R&D team for Pasta & Extrusion, creating an environment that fosters innovation and high performance.
Take responsibility for R&D resources, including headcounts and budgets.
Shape R&D roadmaps in close alignment with the business strategy and initiate new developments.
Oversee ongoing development and supply chain projects while also shaping future R&D roadmaps.
Ensure close collaboration with internal R&D teams globally (US, China, Switzerland) and other departments such as Product Management, Business Development, Sales, and Customer Service.
Act as a facilitator and intercultural communicator in global development projects and portfolios handled by multi-location R&D teams.
Maintain and further develop the existing product portfolio in close collaboration with Product Management.
Manage and develop patents in the pasta & extrusion sector, including creating new patents and managing existing ones


Qualifications


Technical University degree; a Master's degree is preferred.
Several years of experience in a development or innovation environment.
Proven leadership skills developed through previous roles.
Strong technical and mechanical understanding.
Experience in budget management and taking responsibility for financial resources.
Ability to work independently and coordinate at a strategic level.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders, including management reviews, supplier discussions, university projects, and multidisciplinary innovation projects.
Fluent in German and English


Nice to have

Experience in the food industry and familiarity with extrusion and pasta processes.
Background in handling development projects in a global setting, with exposure to intercultural and interdisciplinary teams.
Experience with capital goods and knowledge in the food and/or feed industry.
Experience leading international and intercultural project teams across multiple locations.
